Moran, others in Congress seek study to create new Museum of American People on immigration






WASHINGTON — Several members of Congress are calling for a presidential commission to study the formation of a National Museum of the American People in Washington to tell the history of immigration and migration that formed the nation.

Virginia Rep. Jim Moran, a Democrat, and Tennessee Rep. John Duncan, a Republican, introduced legislation Thursday that calls for studying the feasibility of creating such a museum without any federal taxpayer funds....
