The next president of the American Historical Association will be ...

... Tyler E. Stovall (University of California, Santa Cruz). But you already knew that since Stovall was selected last year as president-elect. So the real news is who the new president-elect is. There were two candidates:  Yale's David Blight and Cornell's Mary Beth Norton.  Norton was selected by the AHA membership.  –  HNN Editor
