The public is invited to the grand opening of a new museum at Confederate Memorial Park, just off U.S. 31 in Chilton County.

Confederate Memorial Park is the site of Alabama's only Confederate veterans home. It operated from 1902 to 1939 caring for elderly veterans, the wives and widows of veterans.
