Beito, Johnson, and Luker ...

Whatever our differences, David Beito, KC Johnson and I have found fruitful collaboration in three essays in the last six months."Why We Are Dissatisfied with the OAH's Report on Repression," History News Network, 15 November 2004, was republished by FIRE, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education."Who's Undermining Free Speech on Campus Now?" History News Network, 11 April 2005, was republished by Inside Higher Ed. Our most recent piece,"Consulting All Sides on ‘Speech Codes'," has just appeared in the OAH Newsletter, XXXIII (May 2005). Actually, I volunteered to sign on as co-author of KC's new book, Congress and the Cold War, which Cambridge University Press will publish in December, but I think I found one of the limits to KC's sense of collegiality.
