Cliopatria welcomes David Silbey to its circle

Cliopatria welcomes David Silbey to its circle. Dr. Silbey did his undergraduate work at Cornell University and his graduate work at Duke University. He is the Associate Director of the Cornell in Washington Program and a Senior Fellow of the Jamestown Project. A specialist in modern European and military history, Silbey is the author of A War of Empire and Frontier: The Philippine-American War, 1899-1902 and The British Working Class and Enthusiasm for Warfare, 1914-1916. He has contributed chapters to several anthologies, published online at Slate, and was, until its recent closure, an active contributor to the prize-winning history group blog, The Edge of the American West. We're very pleased to announce that, in joining Cliopatria, Dr. Silbey brings with him the management of the Military History Carnival and his Military History Digest, done in conjunction with H-War. It's a pleasure to welcome David Silbey to Cliopatria.

David Silbey is an excellent blogger, and he'll make an excellent addition to Cliopatria's already-illustrious staff.
