University of Southern Mississippi Scandal Update

The Faculty Senate of the University of Southern Mississippi has unanimously voted no confidence in the president and demanded that he reinstate two suspended tenured faculty members. As discussed below, these faculty members had their computers seized and they were locked out of their offices, apparently for nothing more than the cardinal sin of criticizing the university administration. It is always good news when professors finally show some backbone and rouse themselves to defend academic freedom.

Unfortunately, the faculty senate vote did not carry any legal weight.
