Introducing Wendy Love Anderson ...

Cliopatria welcomes Wendy Love Anderson to its circle. How do you introduce a woman with a doctorate in the history of Christianity from the University of Chicago, who teaches theological and medieval studies with the Jesuits at St. Louis University, is active in the Jewish community of St. Louis, the American Academy of Religion, and the International Congress on Medieval Studies, and is an expert in BuffyStudies? Well, you just do it, knowing that she writes beautifully and is expert in lots of things that most of us here at Cliopatria know little about. You may suspect that she also bakes bread from scratch, chants Torah for fun, and leaps tall buildings in a single bound, but we shall see. In the meantime, her book manuscript, Free Spirits, Presumptuous Women, and False Prophets: Authenticating Visions in the Late Middle Ages, moves from dissertation to publication.
