Edward Renehan: Jay Gould and NYU

re: "Regilding a Stanford White Landmark," by Karen W. Arenson, published July 30, 2004
For the record, financier Jay Gould's daughter Helen Gould most certainly did NOT graduate from the NYU School of Law. Nor did she even attend that school, despite the assertion to the contrary in your article.
In supporting NYU, Helen was continuing a family tradition started by her father who - like her - was not a graduate of either the Law School or the University proper.
I am currently wrapping up a biography of Jay Gould, this to be published next year by Basic Books.
