GARLASCO BIASED & UNQUALIFIED/ ANNAN RETRACTS

Honest reporting reminds us of Garlasco's last "objective report" on Gaza as well as HRW's "special treatment" of Israel. Jerry Gordon at Israpundit reports that not only has the dishonorable Garlasco leave the army when the going got tough but he is untrained at the kind of evaluation he is purported to do:

Garlasco is not technically qualified to point to a depression in the sand on Gaza beach and state uncategorically that it was caused by an Israeli 155 MM round. Why? he had no scientific training required to do bomb damage assessment-typically a USAF intel function.

A word on the shrapnel on which Garlasco bases his comments. Israeli shrapnel can be found easily in Gaza. The testimony or records of Palestinian doctors cannot be taken at face value as they made such enormous efforts to insure that they removed all the shrapnel they could find before transferring the wounded to Israel.

The "Honorable" Kofi Annan retracts his careless remarks, reports Ynews:

Annan said Israel's position on the incident is "very strange."

Following a meeting Thursday with Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Gillerman, he told reporters that he had responded to "media speculations."

Annan added that he is waiting for Israel's final report on the incident.

Now that's a behavior appropriate to the world's number on diplomat!
