Sometime distance helps. Private concerns diminished the attention I pay to current events as well as to blogging. Trying to catch up I discovered that the country has turned. It stopped ignoring the horrendous unemployment numbers though it has yet to acknowledge how much worse it is in America than elsewhere. Even SNL had enough of Obama talk.

More and more Americans are beginning to see that their country is getting weaker and poorer by the minute. Acknowledging a problem is a start. The question is: Will the system succeed in slowing, if not blocking, the process?
