I saw in an earlier post that all members of the UNO Dept. of History were now accounted for. And I believe you might be able to get more specific news of Professor Billings from my colleague Prof.Judith Schafer (judith.schafer@gmail.com)

Professor Boyden,
Just a quick note to say that I am ok. My wife, daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and I went first to Dallas, where we stayed with friends til last Friday. Then we all flew to Newport News to take up residence in our house in Williamsburg, where we will stay for who knows how long. As you perhaps know, my daughter is married to Judy Schafer's son, so I can report of the whereabouts of the senior Schafers. They are currently in Colombus, Ohio, ensconced at their daughters. All of us are ok, though, like everyone else, we are overwhelmed with sadness at what has befallen the city and its people.
On behalf of us all, we thank for your concern and your efforts to run us to ground.
For the benefit of others, but particularly my students present and past who may wish to be in touch, my e-mail is wmbhi@bellsouth.net.
Cheers,
Warren
