The editor of the New York Times, Bill Keller, announced today that Sam Tanenhaus will become the editor of the Times Book Reviews. A contributing editor of Vanity Fair, Tanenhaus published Whittaker Chambers: A Biography which was a finalist for both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award in 1997. Earlier, he published Louis Armstrong: Biography of a Musician.
