Sooner of later it had to happen. The term" cycle of violence" with its implication of moral equivalency had to be introduced to the discussion of the American war in Iraq. I heard it twice today, on BBC world news and on Fox News' Special Report. The execution of Berg was part of the cycle of violence engulfing Iraq, the BBC anchor and Ceci Connolly asserted. I knew it was just a matter of time when I saw a so called expert (forgot his name) tell a TV anchor:"This (the prison scandal) is what we have been waiting for".
Why not? What is good for Israel is good for America. The Associated Press tells the story of Hammas gunmen shooting at a memorial service held in Gaza for a pregnant women and her four young children murdered in cold blood (the"gunmen" forced her car off the road, went up to the car and shot the woman and her kids at close range). It entitles it Israeli troops demolish Palestinian homes - At the moment Israeli soldiers are doing in Gaza what Americans were reluctant to do in Faluja, they are going house to house to recover body parts! I wish they stopped. Life is too precious to sacrifice for the dead and yet . . .
Pity the creatures whose victory consists of desecrating body parts. There is a Jewish prayer in which we thank God for NOT making us like them. - It never made more sense to me than tonight. As I noted in my last article - no one understands this better than the people of the Middle East - as you can see bellow, our hopes are their hopes whether the BBC and the tyrant loving intelligentsia likes it or not.
