Georges Clemenceau and Woodrow Wilson's attitude to Japan (#62631)
by Mark Brady on June 11, 2005 at 12:35 AM
Good post, Chris. Two thoughts.

'France's prime minister, the acerbic and unsentimental Georges Clemenceau, said that talking to him was "something like talking to Jesus Christ." (He didn't mean that as a compliment.)'

No, he didn't mean it as a compliment. In fact, he was well known as an anti-clerical and atheist.

As many readers are aware, Woodrow Wilson believed in the superiority of the white race and treated the Japanese delegation accordingly.

Have you ever read what Freud had to say about Wilson?
