Timothy J. Petumenos, the independent counsel to the Alaska Personnel Board, concluded that in the firing of the former Alaska public safety commissioner Walt Monegan,"There is no probable cause to believe that the governor or any other state official violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with these matters."
