Sixties girl groups' success crossed ethnic lines [audio 30min]

Tracey McLeod recalls the girl groups of the 1960s, an infectious genre of pop music and a vinyl source of inspiration for teenage girls. Image was of paramount importance and ranged from the leather-clad look of the Shangri-Las to the high glamour of the Supremes, led by Diana Ross.
