David McCullough Wins Chicago Tribune Literary Prize
David McCullough, who has brought American history—and democracy—to life in a string of wildly popular histories on subjects ranging from the Brooklyn Bridge to Harry Truman to the Panama Canal, has been awarded the 2008 Chicago Tribune Literary Prize for lifetime achievement.
