William Greider Weighs in on the Current Economic Crisis [mp3]

We’re losing more jobs, our financial system is in meltdown, and people are losing their homes. I entered this race to confront this crisis. I’m not a career politician. But, I have fought for working people my entire life.

Crisis as the saying goes, offers opportunity. I believe for the first time in a long time, we have the opportunity to create a new progressive economic platform. To do this, we need to question many of the economic assumptions of the last 30 years.

Recently, I had a talk with William Greider, the National Affairs Correspondent for The Nation. Bill is one of the preeminent economic journalists of the our times, and for over a decade has written presciently about the financial mess in which we’ve landed.

Our discussion is wide ranging, touching on the financial crisis, the bank bailout, the growing economic contraction, and many other subjects.
