Finally, on Thursday, India's Allahabad High Court issued an 8,000 page decision, encompassing thousands of years of south Asian history and sixty years of litigation. It attempts to settle an old dispute between Hindus and Muslims over ownership and control of holy sites in the city of Ayodhya by dividing the land, two-thirds of it to Hindus and one-third of it to Muslims.
