Occupiers
From the Washington Post, American Ambassador to Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry:
America has never sought to occupy any nation in the world.
Not to put too fine a point on it, and just off the top of my head, but I suspect that the citizens of Florida, Mexico, the continental West, Hawaii, Guam, the Philippines, and Puerto Rico would like to have a word with you, Ambassador Eikenberry.*
*Really, just 30 seconds of thought and leaving out many others, including any and all short-term occupations. Otherwise, it would be shorter to list countries that the U.S. hadn't occupied or tried to occupy.**
**All right, in the Western Hemisphere, at least.
