Please include a URL for the blog(s). You many nominate as many blogs as you wish in this category, and you may nominate individual posts or bloggers in other categories as well.

If you want ideas of blogs or writers to nominate, see the History Blogroll or past editions of the History Carnival.

Bloggers do not need to be academic historians. If you're not sure whether a blog or blogger qualifies as"history," nominate them anyway and the judges will make a final determination. If you have questions, feel free to contact the chair of the committee:

Ok, here's a difficult one. Múlt-kor http://www.mult-kor.hu/ is web-site / journal put together by Hungarian historians.

I'm going to be biased because they included a story "A csillagok jelezték Delphoi szertartásait" (http://www.mult-kor.hu/cikk.php?article=10746). However there's a wide range of stuff on site, and there's clearly a lot of making it look beautiful. Here's what could have been a very dull-looking article on Pinochet. http://www.mult-kor.hu/cikk.php?article=11652

I see two problems. One is whether or not it's a weblog. There are weblog elements including a journal but is that enough for it to be a blog.

The other is this whole not-in-English thing. An academic historian who ruled out sources simply because they weren't in English might have a bit of trouble, but what about a blogging historian? This raises questions about audience that I can't answer.
