A University Press Does History Blogging

Last year, Oxford University's Bryan Ward-Perkins and Peter Heather both published books with Oxford University Press on the fall of the Roman Empire: Ward-Perkins' The Fall of Rome and the End of Civilization and Heather's The Fall of the Roman Empire: A New History of Rome and the Barbarians. It was a perfect opportunity for OUPBlog to create a dialogue between two major historians about new interpretations in ancient history. Und, so: Part I and Part II.

This summer, OUP's publication of A Well-Regulated Militia: The Founding Fathers and the Origins of Gun-Control in America by Ohio State's Saul Cornell led to a dialogue between Saul and Harvard's Mark Tushnet on the Second Amendment and Gun Control: Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3. Thanks to Dale Light of Light Seeking Light for the tip.
