First, ask him which Democratic candidate he would vote for, if he were not himself running.
Then, ask him where he sees the great areas of general, moderate, agreement in US politics are, the things that Democrats and Republicans can agree on, the things that the Bush administration has done that he supports. (then ask a Republican if they agree...)

You know David something that Charles Murray notes in his book is that no one talks about liberty in politics anymore. I'd like to know what Kerry thinks about the concept generally, or any politician for that matter.
I'd go for it man. I interviewed Al Gore once, and it was really interesting.
