No, I am Charles VI of France. The men jumping out from behind corners yelling "Boo" at me, clearly indicates my royal lineage. I condemn the imposter to drowning.

I am Charles VI of France, also known as Charles the Mad or Charles the Well-Beloved! The fools will indeed be destroyed (certain planets too), but there will be fruit and wigs in abundance upon my passing!

Ya see what happens! You make a guy the Cliopatriarch of Cincinnati and he starts handing out titles like they were a dime a dozen.

Jonathan T. Reynolds - 11/1/2004

You guys are obviously crank imposters. The survey very clearly said that I am Joshua Abraham Norton. But, to show that there is no hard feelings, I'll confer titles of nobility upon you both. How about Earl or Luker and Duke Dresner?

Jonathan Dresner - 11/1/2004

I think that's probably the default result unless you're considerably more violent than either of us.

I had never heard of Emperor Norton until Neil Gaiman made him the subject of a particularly effective Sandman episode.

I've always wondered if any of the 'money' scrip he issued still exists, or his proclamations. I can't find anything on E-bay, for what it's worth.
