New Contributing Editors for Liberty and Power

Welcome to the new and improved Liberty and Power. As mentioned last week, a new group of contributing editors have joined as bloggers. Their names and biographies are shown on the right side of the screen. They are a distinguished group.

Stephen Cox, Professor Literature and director of the Humanities program at the University of California at San Diego. He is a senior editor at Liberty Magazine and is the author of The Titanic Story: Hard Choices, Dangerous Decisions.

Robert Higgs is Senior Fellow in Political Economy at the Independent Institute. I introduced Bob last week.

Jeffrey Rogers Hummel is an associate professor in economics at San Jose State University. He is best known for Emancipating Slaves, Enslaving Free Men: A History of the Civil War.

John Majewski, associate professor of History at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is the author of A House Dividing: Economic Development in Pennsylvania and Virginia Before the Civil War.

James Otteson, associate professor in Philosophy at the University of Alabama. Jim is the author of Adam Smith's Marketplace of Life and is currently editing British Classical Liberalism, 1600-1900.

David Theroux is the president of the Independent Institute. He has done much to promote libertarian and classical liberal oriented scholarship on a range of issues including those related to war and peace.

The group is rounded out by our anonymous blogger, Common Sense. More about him/her later!

Finally, let me remind readers that they can gain immediate access to Liberty and Power via www.libertyandpower.org or www.libertyandpower.com.
