John Hope Franklin

John Hope Franklin, professor emeritus at Duke University, is a prize-winning historian, Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree for his civil rights work, and has served on presidential committees for FDR and Bill Clinton. Now 90 years of age, he joins Diane to talk about his new autobiography, Mirror to America (Farrar Straus & Giroux).
